I am pleased to announce that the first George Garth Graham Undergraduate Digital History Research Fellow will be Mr. Hollis Peirce.

Hollis is a remarkable fellow. He attended the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria in the summer of 2012. At DHSI he successfully completed a course called “Digitization Fundamentals and Their Application”. In the fall semester of 2012 he was the impetus behind, and helped to organize,  THATCamp Accessibility on the subject of the impact of digital history on accessibility in every sense of the word. At that conference each session was recorded.

Hollis will be working with those recordings, analyzing and exploring the issues raised, to create a born-digital exploration surrounding issues of accessibility and digital history.

Hollis will be chronicling his research at http://hollispeirce.grahamresearchfellow.org/
